Warranty & Item Condition
At ETB we’re confident in our testing procedures and the quality of the items we sell. For this reason we offer robust warranties on all orders. Everything apart from batteries and some clearance items are supplied with a minimum of 1-year warranty included, however the majority of our product range comes with a 3-year standard warranty.
We also offer the opportunity for you to upgrade your warranty to include onsite technical support. Further details on this below.
Please note that we cannot provide technical support on software or operating systems and your warranty is valid only on the hardware supplied by ETB. Issues caused by misuse, customer damage or changes to the original configuration may invalidate your warranty.
|Return to Base Warranty (Standard)
|You can buy from ETB with confidence, knowing that all products come with a reassuring ETB Return to Base warranty included in the price. This warranty normally covers 1 or 3 years and includes both parts and labour so there’s no hidden extras. In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your purchase, our technical support team will work with you to troubleshoot and diagnose the issue, often fixing the problem remotely. If this is not possible, they will arrange for repair or replacement as required.
This warranty is valid worldwide.
|On Site Warranty (Enhanced)
|For extra peace of mind, UK and most Mainland Europe customers can purchase an on-site warranty, so you can have your equipment repaired or replaced quicker and more conveniently.
There are three levels – 24/7 support with a 4hour fix, 0800-1700 support with a 4hour fix, or a next business day fix between 0800-1700. On-site warranties are available for 1 to 5 years.

|Consumables such as RAID and Storage Array batteries are covered for 90 days from point of sale.
|Some items, including new, new open-boxed and new pulled, may come with a full manufacturer’s warranty, while pre-owned stock may have a partial warranty remaining. Details of the warranty will be on the listing page for each item.

Product Condition Grading
Some of our products are cancelled or returned orders, and as such may have older / previous evidence of shipping labels on the original packaging. All refurbished items are re-packed into new custom designed packaging suitable for shipping.
|A pre-owned item that has been fully tested, cleaned and restored to factory defaults where applicable. The refurbishment has been carried out by our trained engineers at ETB.
|A pre-owned item that has been fully tested, cleaned and restored to factory defaults where applicable. The refurbishment has been carried out by the product manufacturer before arriving with ETB.
|Grade B - Refurbished
|These products have been fully tested, cleaned and restored to factory defaults where applicable. There may be some scuffs or scratches to the casing which does not affect the operation of the item or your warranty. The product listing will contain full details of the reason for Grade B.
|A brand new item in original sealed packaging.
|New Open Box
|An item that is unused but the packaging may have been opened to check the contents or the goods may have been repackaged. Hard drives may have been installed into a system but will not have been in production, in this case drives will be wiped and tested before being repacked or used as part of a build.
|New Pull (Hard Drives)
|Drives which have been installed into a system but have had less than 100 powered on hours. Drives have been wiped and tested by ETB before being repackaged or used as part of a build.
