Supermicro SuperStorage CSE-846 4U Chassis & X11DPi-NT

The CSE-846 SuperStorage servers are perfect 4U dual-CPU rackmount servers for iSCSI SAN, high availability storage and corporate databases. This 24 x 3.5" SAS/SATA Supermicro server from the X11DPi-NT range is refurbished by our team so you can get incredible performance for a great price.

You can choose from our suggested specifications below or use our online configuration tool to tailor the SuperStorage CSE-846 to your specific needs.

Scalable Compute

The powerful X11DPi-NT Motherboard can be configured with up to two Intel 1st/2nd Gen Scalable Xeon processors and has 16 DIMM slots for up to 4TB of DDR4 RAM. Paired with the CSE-846 24-bay LFF rackmount chassis, this server can be configured for any need.

Each processor can have up to 28 cores, for a total of 56 cores in a 4U space. The X11DPI-NT is also compatible with DCPMMs, allowing non-volatile or persistent memory caching.

Processors: Intel Xeon scalable 1st/2nd Gen CPUs from 1.70GHz to 3.90GHz - 4 cores to 28 cores and L3 Cache up to 38.5MB.
Memory: Up to 4TB of DDR4 RDIMM/LRDIMM, or 2TB using DCPMM, across 16 DIMM slots.

Ready for Expansion

The SuperChassis CSE-846BE1C-R1K28B is a great option for any data centres looking for a great all-round server with impressive performance due to the X11DPi-NT motherboard, it includes great storage options with its 24 x 3.5" drive bays at the front and the ability to install SSDs in the two rear 2.5" SATA drive bays.

It can be configured to achieve over half a petabyte of SAS3 Storage, with optional equipment to daisy-chain to storage expansions, such as JBODs or Storage Arrays.

Storage Controllers: Optional MegaRAID or LSI Storage Controllers with battery-backed cache.
Expansion Slots: Dual 10Gb RJ45 integrated ports, as well as 4 PCIe 3.0 x16 and 2 PCIe 3.0 x8 slots. Including 2 Gen3 NVMe M.2 slots on the motherboard.

Maximise Performance & Density

The X11DPi-NT incorporates several features to enhance density and performance, all neatly housed within a 4U rackmount chassis. It is designed with scalability in mind.

With the CSE-846, options like hot-swap power supplies, AOC network cards and management suites like the DCMS or OOB tools are configurable with ETB.

Add On Cards: Supermicro’s range of AOCs, such as network cards and storage controllers. Port types ranging from 1Gb RJ45 to 100Gb QSFP28.
PSUs: Dual 1280W power supplies with hot-swap capabilities and Titanium rated efficiency.
Remote Access: Support for Intelligent Platform Management Interface v.2.0 with virtual media over LAN and KVM-over-LAN support.
Rail Kit: Rail kit options available, ready for easy installation into a standard rack.
