Supermicro SuperServer 2029U-TR4 Ultra Server

Our refurbished SYS-2029U-TR4 Ultra servers are excellent 2U dual-CPU rackmount solutions for hyperconverged storage, virtualisation, cloud computing. This 24 x 2.5" SAS/SATA Supermicro server from the X11 DP range has been expertly refurbished by our team, offering outstanding performance at an exceptional price.

You can choose from our suggested specifications below or use our online configuration tool to tailor the SuperServer 2029U-TR4 to your specific needs.

Scalable Compute

The powerful X11DPU Ultra motherboard supports up to two Intel 1st or 2nd Gen Scalable Xeon processors and includes 24 DIMM slots, allowing for up to 6TB of DDR4 RAM. Paired with the CSE-219U 24-bay SFF rackmount chassis, this server can be customised to suit any requirement.

Each processor supports up to 28 cores, delivering a total of 56 cores within a 2U form factor. The 2029U-TR4 is also compatible with NVDIMMs and DCPMMs, enabling non-volatile or persistent memory caching for enhanced performance and reliability.

Processors: Intel Xeon scalable 1st/2nd Gen CPUs from 1.70GHz to 3.90GHz - 4 cores to 28 cores and L3 Cache up to 38.5MB.
Memory: Up to 3TB of DDR4 RDIMM/LRDIMM, or 6TB using DCPMM, across 24 DIMM slots.

Ready for Expansion

The Ultra Server series includes a range of Ultra Riser cards, providing integrated networking solutions and increasing the number of available PCIe slots. These cards support various speeds, from 1Gb RJ45 to 25Gb SFP28, to meet diverse connectivity needs.

The 24 x 2.5” drive bays are managed by up to 3 PCIe storage controllers connected via six-port SAS backplane, controlling 8 drives per controller.

Storage Controllers: A wide range of MegaRAID and LSI storage controllers are available, some with advanced RAID capabilities and non-volatile cache, including CacheVault battery kits.
Expansion Slots: 4 x 1Gbps RJ45 included on the integrated Ultra Riser, to allow space for 2 PCIe 3.0 x16 (full height) and 5 PCIe 3.0 x8 expansion slots.

Maximise Performance & Density

The SYS-2029U-TR4 incorporates a wide range of features to maximise density and performance, all efficiently housed within a 2U rackmount chassis. It has been thoughtfully engineered with scalability at its core.

With the 2029U-TR4, options like hot-swap power supplies, AOC network cards and management suites like the SSM tools are configurable with ETB.

Add On Cards: Supermicro’s range of AOCs, such as network cards and storage controllers. Port types ranging from 1Gb RJ45 to 100Gb QSFP28.
PSUs: Dual 1000W power supplies with hot-swap capabilities and Platinum rated efficiency.
Remote Access: Support for Intelligent Platform Management Interface v.2.0 with virtual media over LAN and KVM-over-LAN support.
Rail Kit: Rail kit options available, ready for easy installation into a standard rack.
