HPE Smart Array P408i-a 12G Modular SAS Controller
The HPE Smart Array P408i-a is an enterprise class modular storage controller that allows you to maximize your servers performance and storage capacity without occupying a PCI Express (PCIe) expansion slot. This controller has 8 internal lanes which support up to 238 hard drives at connection speeds up to 12Gbps SAS or 6Gbps SATA, it supports Mixed Mode operation of RAID and HBA mode simultaneously. The modular controller occupies a dedicated storage slot without occupying any PCIe expansion slots. The HPE Gen10 controllers are supported by the optional HPE Smart Storage Batteries (sold seperately)
