At ETB we’re confident in our testing procedures and the quality of the items we sell. For this reason we offer robust warranties on all orders. Everything apart from batteries and some clearance items are supplied with a minimum of 1-year warranty included, however the majority of our product range comes with a 3-year standard warranty. We also offer the opportunity for you to upgrade your warranty to include onsite technical support.
UK next day delivery as standard and worldwide shipping available. Orders placed before 2pm which require no configuration will ship that day. For items requiring configuration or additional testing please allow an extra 24 hours. All orders are sent on fully tracked services and our team will keep you updated on the progress of your order.
If you order by 2pm we will ship most orders for in-stock equipment the same day, for next business day delivery in the UK. Overseas shipping times vary and we will let you know when to expect delivery when you place your order.
If your order includes bespoke server configuration, please allow an extra day for us to fully test the equipment before shipping. We’ll keep you updated as your order progresses. Multiple server orders may take a little longer to test and ship.
Can I request a timed delivery for my order?
We are able to offer timed delivery slots and Saturday delivery for UK customers through our main courier FedEx. We can also offer priority shipping for international customers.

Do ETB ship servers internationally?
We ship products worldwide, ensuring they are securely packaged and appropriately labelled for the destination country. If you would like an international shipping quote please contact us on [email protected] or +44 (0) 1556 610167 or via our website chat facility.
Please note that overseas deliveries may be subject to local import taxes or duties, and you will be responsible for payment.
Can I arrange my own courier or collect my order in person?
Of course, just let us know at the point of order so we can make arrangements with our warehouse team for your courier to collect. You can also collect in person if you prefer, just ask at the point of order so we can have your goods ready when you arrive.
What is the difference between ‘refurbished’ and ‘grade B’ equipment?
This is just a cosmetic grading, as all items received by us are thoroughly tested and checked before being added to stock.
Refurbished: Are fully working and in good cosmetic condition (although you may see some signs of previous use such as minor scratches).
Grade B: Also fully functional, but may be more heavily marked. We can normally provide more details on why an item has been placed in this category.
What is the difference between ‘new’, ‘new pull’ and ‘new open box’ goods?
We purchase some new equipment directly from the manufacturer to supplement our refurbished stock.
New: Brand new, unopened and unused products.
New Open Box: Are normally customer returns. They are still brand new and unused but the box may have been opened.
New Pull: May have been installed in a system and configured for use, but the system was not sold and so the parts were removed with little or no use. These items may not be in the original packaging
What warranty do you offer?
All of our products come with a minimum 1 year ETB return to base warranty included*. This covers you for parts and labour for the duration of the warranty. You will need to return items to us for repair or replacement if we are not able to fix the problem remotely.
We also offer the option for our UK customers to purchase an enhanced warranty which gives you on site support within 4 hours or next business day depending on the level chosen. This allows you minimise disruption to your systems in case of any faults. We can provide a quote for enhanced warranties on most of our products.
Additionally some items will still have some manufacturers warranty. This will be detailed on the product description.
*Raid and Storage Array controller batteries are covered for 90 days from point of sale
Yes, you can extend or enhance your warranty on most server orders. Please speak to our sales team for more details and a quote.
How can I pay for my order?
You can pay for online orders quickly and easily by credit card or PayPal directly through the website. Do you offer payment terms?

Our dedicated parts team hold a huge stock and have extensive knowledge of part numbers and compatibility. If you can’t find the part number you want listed on our website, or you need any help in finding the right part, they will be happy to help you find it or suggest a suitable alternative.
Do I need to pay UK VAT?
It depends where you are based and your EU VAT status.
Customers in the UK must pay VAT
EU businesses who have a valid EU VAT number will not be charged UK VAT as long as we are shipping to your business location. (Please provide EU VAT number at point of order)
All other EU orders must pay UK VAT
Customers outside the EU are not liable for UK VAT
How can I track my shipment?
You will be given a tracking number for your order as soon as it is ready to leave our warehouse. Our main courier is FedEx, most orders will be tracked through the FedEx website. If we have sent your order via any other different method, such as pallet delivery, we will advise you of tracking details by email.
What happens if I want to return an item?
We want you to be happy with your order and offer returns for consumers and business customers. You can find full information about our returns process here.

Can you provide equipment for our datacentre?
Yes, we can support datacentres at all levels, from high volume orders to urgent individual parts. Our huge stock means we can normally ship goods the same day to minimise downtime.
Can I rent equipment for a short term project?

What brands do you stock?
We specialise in Dell servers and parts, but we also carry an extensive range of other brands including Cisco, HP, Oracle and Juniper. We hold hard drives from a variety of manufacturers so we can always find the right drive for you.
Do you offer discounts to charities?
At ETB we are proud to support a number of charities and good causes throughout the year, but it doesn’t stop there. If you are a registered charity with an IT hardware need, please email us with your requirements and your budget and we will see how we can help.
Can you provide EqualLogic or Compellent Warranties?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to obtain an EqualLogic or Compellent Warranty on refurbished items, however all these units are supplied with our own 12month ETB Return-to-Base Warranty. For details of warranties and extended warranty options, please check the product description.
Do you offer finance or leasing services?

How do you package servers and switches?
The short answer is ‘with the greatest care’. New, ‘new open box’ and some refurbished items will be packed in the original manufacturer packaging. Where this is not available, items are carefully repackaged in custom designed packaging. This is selected to match the size and weight of the goods and includes bespoke foam inserts to ensure your order will be stable in transit. Packaging is double checked before being sealed and labelled ready for dispatch.
How are your servers tested?
Servers, and their component parts, are thoroughly tested both on arrival and before dispatch.
When servers arrive, our engineering team strip out and test each individual component, cleaning each item before removing any previous configuration or data, checking functionality and repairing items as required. Each part is then catalogued according to its condition before being added to our extensive stock.
When a new server order is placed, we build it to the required specification and then test the complete unit and apply any relevant firmware updates before shipping.
How are your switches tested?
All switches are tested by our engineering department on arrival. This includes checking the functionality of the switch and all its ports, and checking for any signs of external damage. We confirm which operating system is installed and record all the details before adding the switch to our stock.
